I had to spend a day in Cusco and, the night before I arrived, I contacted the accommodation about the parking. They told me the car spot had an extra fee of 10 USD, which I agreed to. On the day of the reservation I arrived around noon just to park my car. The receptionist directed me to the spot, and when I returned, I was shocked to find the parking fee had risen to 15 USD because I had arrived too early. I argued that there were plenty of spaces for other cars and that I would leave early the next day, that my car wouldn’t even be parked for 24 hours, but she was inflexible. I asked to cancel the reservation to find another place, but she said I couldn’t cancel because of the booking policies. With the reservation already paid and tied up, I had to pay the extra 5 USD. I requested that at least my room be released so I could leave my belongings, but that was denied because there was still one hour until check‑out. I was incredulous. In short, the accommodation not only failed to keep its own word (they had told me the parking cost) but also didn’t offer a small courtesy to the guest. Cusco has much better options at more attractive prices. If you want good service, avoid this place.
