The housekeeper was fairly friendly and let us check in early, yet the hotel had no air‑conditioning in 40 °C, the bedding was plush but the floor was not vacuumed or swept for a few Fridays, and the bathroom had stains on the sink and mirror as if previous guests hadn’t cleaned them. The breakfast was insufficient; the only decent items were boiled sausages and over‑cooked eggs, while the rest were rubbery pastries, yoghurts that had been taken out of the fridge in the heat, a bowl of fruit with floating vinegar flies, water that tasted like the Elbe (and was also in the juices), so we barely drank anything, and the mint in the shaker cost only a crown.
