The location, cleanliness, and friendly staff were great, and there were plenty of beverages available, but the breakfast options could use some improvement.

The hotel sits in a very central area, perfect for strolling around the city and reaching the Acropolis easily. Every part of the property—from the lobby and breakfast area to the room—was spotless and comfortable, and when we had an early morning visit to the Acropolis they even prepared a picnic‑style breakfast to take with us. The only downside was the lack of a night‑time reception desk, which didn’t bother us on a one‑night trip but would be inconvenient for a longer stay in case of an emergency.

The spot is fantastic, within walking distance of the Acropolis and close to the metro, making city exploration effortless, and the nearby restaurants, cafés, and lively streets put us right in the heart of Athens’ vibrant scene. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and spotless, and the cleaning service was impeccable. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and a wonderful way to start each day. The staff were incredibly helpful throughout, arranging a taxi from the airport for our arrival and another for our early 6:00 am departure, ensuring everything ran smoothly. The real highlight was the staff—every single person we met was friendly, warm, kind, and welcoming, and their genuine hospitality made us feel truly cared for. Athens Retro is a beautiful place with an amazing location, but it’s the people who make it special. We loved our stay and would gladly return.
