The turn‑of‑the‑century house was beautiful and impeccably maintained; we were welcomed on a very chilly afternoon by a roaring log fire and a spacious, period‑styled room. Every detail had been considered and nothing was too much trouble: books, reverse‑cycle heating, electric blankets, daily newspapers, a selection of Twinings teas, hot chocolate, individually wrapped chocolates, Kez biscuits, lounge chairs around the fire, and extra blankets for extra warmth while reading or chatting. The beds were very comfortable, and there were plenty of fluffy bath sheets and hot water. Robbie’s multi‑course breakfasts were tasty, plentiful, and beautifully presented. There was nothing to dislike.

Breakfast was excellent and the location was central; the house was beautifully decorated and warm and cozy in winter, with central heating and a fireplace.

I stayed at a charming old property right in Mudgee’s center, within walking distance of pubs and restaurants. The host was friendly and made everything wonderful, and the breakfast was top notch!
