When we arrived at the motel at check‑in time, the office was locked and we called the number on the door for over an hour with no answer. We visited a Coldwater resident and then returned to the motel, telling them we had a reservation confirmed for $54.89. They said we missed our check‑in time and would charge $75 plus tax whether we stayed or not, so we never stayed. Fortunately, I hadn’t paid in advance, so no charges were made.
