The view was amazing, yet the resort is so large that everything else feels distant; you need a car to get from the resort to the main road, which is full of potholes and often crowded with three cars on the same two‑lane road, making it feel more like a prison than a vacation spot, and the property keeps guests within its own confines.

The hotel sits atop the crater and offers amazing views; we were probably in the low season since most places looked closed. The rooms are a bit worn, but they’re working on the gardens. Because the hotel is far from other attractions, we ate on site and the food was good and reasonably priced. I’m not sure the actual accommodation justifies the price—you’re paying for the large property and all the gardens. The room feels expensive for what you get.

The area is very beautiful, but the room was too dark. At night, outside light was too bright and seeped in, making it hard to sleep.

The view was gorgeous and the trekking and other activities were plentiful. The food quality wasn’t something to get excited about and the rooms didn’t have a refrigerator.

The facility is huge, so much to see and everywhere you look, a new scenery! Getting to the hotel is a bit of a hassle.
