The beds were super comfy, and the spot was spot‑on for getting into the city—just a short bus ride away and the stop is right outside the building. A big shop is close by if you want to shop before heading out.

The room and bathroom were spotless and had everything you’d need. A great choice for a quick stay. The only hiccup was the bathroom lock that requires a code every time—it’s a bit annoying, but it hardly outweighs the positives.

The place is perfectly located in Edinburgh’s upscale suburb, just a 20‑minute bus ride from the city center, and the bus stop is right in front of the hotel. A large shopping mall is a 5‑minute walk away. Inside, the décor is warm, the bedding comfortable, and all the necessary equipment is there. It was nice to sip coffee with a street view from the big window. There was a bit of street noise that might bother sensitive ears.

We booked a bed‑and‑breakfast, but the morning of check‑in we got a text saying breakfast was no longer offered. No heads‑up to book elsewhere, no refund, and no makeshift continental breakfast. I asked for extra blankets several times because the one on the bed didn’t fit two people, and I never heard back. It feels like a low‑end self‑service hotel.

The room was lovely, easy to get into, came with a welcome touch, and was clean. The neighborhood isn’t in the center, but it’s very close, quiet, and pretty. I wish there had been a small fridge to keep things.
