The owner, Philo, was very kind and explained the local area in detail upon arrival; the hotel staff were professional and friendly, which greatly enhanced my experience and impression of Cairo. The bed was reasonably clean, the room was large, and there was a balcony that let in fresh air. The hotel is in a busy district, so some noise is unavoidable; if you’re sensitive to sound, choose carefully.

The people here are friendly, the location is great, and the room is huge. The corridors, however, have a slightly bad smell.

The location is very good, the staff are extremely kind and give useful advice, and the room and bathroom are spacious. The shower, though, didn’t drain properly.

This hotel, set in a European‑style building that’s over 100 years old, is the best place to relax. The only downside is the traffic noise because it’s in the city center. The location is excellent, the staff are friendly, the room feels comfortable, and staff are always on site, so you can leave the hotel with peace of mind.
