The location was great, the host had warned us about the stairs so we brought a smaller bag for the two nights to make getting to our rooms easier, and the little kitchenette was very small but we managed for the two nights.

The family rooms were excellent; traveling with two teenage daughters, the rooms were spacious, clean, and private, and the hosts were great to communicate with.

Communication with the hosts was excellent, the room was very spacious with cool décor, the bed was comfortable, the shower was good, and there was a bathtub; parking was paid on the street or could be arranged with the hosts for free permits, and a lovely 10‑minute walk down to the Royal Mile goes through the Meadows.

The owners have thought of everything – tiny touches that make the stay even better. Our room was spacious with beautiful windows, a small kitchen that’s very handy, and a large bathroom. The bus is the best way to reach all the central tourist spots, though you can walk there in 30 minutes. The little coop supermarket on the corner is excellent for groceries, and if you’re around on a Monday night, do the quiz at the Argle Bar – a very white area to stay super helpful.
