The location was okay, but it felt like staying on the brink of bankruptcy: no lights at night, no way to read or enjoy the evening, the communal kitchen was a haphazard mix of leftovers, the coffee machine didn’t work, and overall it was not inviting.

A delightful, quiet area right by the Kiel Canal, where you could walk along the path beside the canal and see the large ship traffic; I have no complaints.

The location is perfect for trips to the North (e.g. St. Peter Ording) or the Baltic Sea (e.g. Kiel); Rendsburg is very close, as is a ferry to the North‑East Sea Canal, and from some rooms you can see the canal and the ships directly; pure relaxation with hiking, biking, and walking options right from the hotel; the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful; nearby there are restaurants.
