The room wasn’t lavish but felt warm, practical and spacious, and even included a large hot‑spring bathtub that made soaking easy. Breakfast was simple yet tasteful. There were no tea or coffee packets in the room, but the ground‑floor tea lounge had a water dispenser, tea bags and a fresh‑ground coffee machine, and a 7‑Eleven was just a traffic light away. The lounge’s facilities should be pointed out to guests at check‑in rather than leaving them to discover everything on their own.

I’m really grateful for yesterday’s stay; after my husband got lost returning from dinner, the night‑shift lady kindly helped look for him and even coordinated with the police. The owner clearly cares about guest safety and goes the extra mile.

The hotel shows its age but the grounds are spotless, they provide disposable towels which is handy, and it’s a short 10‑minute walk to the Jiouxi Night Market, making the location excellent. Because it’s near the Wufengqi Waterfall, the street stays quiet at night and you can sleep comfortably. There’s also a huge kids’ play area that’s perfect for families. The breakfast isn’t a buffet; you get a single‑serve set with six main‑course options (you have to confirm the day before at the front desk) plus cheese and a drink. The curry rice was overly salty, the jam toast came with only a tiny amount of strawberry jam and no other flavors—something like chocolate, peanut or butter would be nice. The standard double room’s bathroom does have a bathtub for hot‑spring soaking, but the toilet is right next to it, forcing you to sit sideways when using it, which is very uncomfortable.
