The hotel was clean and well kept, but it got pretty noisy at night because the room above had kids running around and moving furniture all night.

The only redeeming point was the location. As soon as I stepped inside, a strong, almost cultural smell hit me, which was overwhelming. My room, 201, was full of roaches and had structural problems; when I mentioned it to the front desk, they said those were just German roaches and that every hotel has them, even though they claim to do pest control monthly. They assured me German roaches were harmless, but I have asthma and know they can trigger attacks. The elevator was broken, and I still paid $78 for the stay. I share this so others know what to expect at Oak Tree Inns and Suites.

I was close to campus, so this place worked out for me, but the owner's loud talking at night was a real issue. The room itself wasn't the cleanest, with dust everywhere and a toilet that looked like it hadn't been scrubbed in ages.

For the price, this hotel was a decent value. The staff was friendly and met my expectations, but the elevator had a pretty strong smell of cigarette smoke – not a huge surprise, given that they do offer smoking rooms.
