Breakfast was good and the staff’s hospitality compensated for the reception we received. However, the hotel wasn’t ready when we arrived; the security guard had to call the owner to confirm our booking, which had been made days earlier, so we had to wait before checking in. The shower head on the roof in the bath is a bad idea—water splashes everywhere, leaving the floor very wet and a trip hazard.

We arrived early and the staff were incredibly welcoming, letting us check in before the scheduled time; the breakfast was excellent, and we really appreciated the hospitality. The only downside was being woken by a woman singing in the middle of the night, which I found unpleasant.

The hotel offered a quiet and peaceful setting that helped us relax, and the staff were outstanding—friendly, helpful, and genuinely eager to accommodate us. Breakfast was a highlight, but the advertised location was misleading: it says the property is within 10 km of Bass Lake, yet the real distance is about 20 minutes, only revealed after we called. In the afternoon, especially at peak sun, a strong, nauseating sewerage smell made it difficult to enjoy the balcony sunset, and the bedside lamps were inadequate.

“Pleasant stay but venue needs maintenance with regards to peeling wall paper and discoloured silicon”

The food selection was decent, though it took a very long time to prepare. The coffee machine was broken, the menu was very limited, and there was no fruit juice available, plus the supply ran short. The cutlery was not properly cleaned.
