“Short and sweet stay”

We only stayed one night, but it was a lovely experience. The room was clean and comfortable, though the bed leaned to the hard side, which is normal. The balcony overlooking the river was gorgeous. The owner, a kind woman, was incredibly helpful even during our brief stay. I’d recommend the restaurant across the street, especially if you’re arriving from the slow boat a bit late in the evening. The furniture looks a bit worn, but it’s still clean and offers great value for money. We’d definitely stay again.

We needed an overnight spot near the border to cross into Laos the next day, and this place fit the bill. The lady owner greeted us warmly and was extremely friendly. She handed us the visa forms the boat company had left and walked us through how to fill them out correctly. The room was spacious, overlooking the river, with a balcony and a fridge. She even gave us breakfast the next morning, even though it wasn’t included in our booking—amazing. The location is right on the river path and close to a road full of restaurants and shops. Everything was fine.

“Great base for transitioning from land to water; shower, sleep, service, and then shove off.”

It’s a great launch point for a boat tour, and the owner was awesome—very helpful and friendly. I can’t think of anything negative at the moment.

The welcome was extraordinary and the staff were extremely kind. The room was well sized with a terrace, fridge, and kettle. The bedding was good. We had a view of the Mekong and the pedestrian promenade. Shops and restaurants were less than 100 meters away. The place was clean.

A lovely lady runs the place. The location is wonderful, and the low‑season rates are very attractive. There’s a car park and a nearby restaurant.
