The location is spot on, right in the middle of everything.

“Amazing views of the Matterhorn. Great stay in a cozy hotel.”
I had a great stay at the Berghof. The location is a little out of the main village, which worked for us because it’s only a 10‑minute walk, and the shuttle from the station is fantastic. The staff were lovely, the food gorgeous, and the balcony offered the most incredible views of the Matterhorn. The price point for Zermatt was good, and I would recommend it. That said, the path up to the hotel is steep, so it might not suit those with mobility issues, even though the hotel could have a solution. The bathroom felt a bit dated, but that’s a picky point. The only issue was that the terrace blankets were a bit dirty.

The apartment was comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed, while Andreea and Ruxandra on the staff went out of their way to be especially helpful. We spent plenty of time by the pool and in the spa, and the view of the Matterhorn was simply breathtaking, adding a real sense of wellbeing. The only minor downside was the lack of a fridge or minibar, but it didn’t really affect our stay.

The moment I stepped through the doors, the staff greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel instantly welcome. Check‑in was swift and the reception area felt genuinely friendly.
