“Precioso edificio mal gestionado”
It’s located in a historic building, but the service, common areas lack lighting and are not clean, making it unwelcoming.

It’s a fantastic, impeccably clean place with a wonderful park. Breakfast is good, and the value for money is excellent—highly recommended. The restaurant, however, has a poor menu and rude staff.

The breakfast was excellent, and the self‑tour of the monastery museum was great. The only downside was my experience at Restaurante Las Vigas on the property. First, the older waiter was miserable, unfriendly, almost hostile, setting a bad tone; he made Basil Fawlty look friendly and jovial. Knowing I spoke almost no Spanish, he didn’t try to help me read the menu and answered my questions as if I were fluent, so I was none the wiser. A bread basket was offered and I took a chunk of good crusty bread. When the waiter brought my dinner I didn’t notice at first that he had taken away my small plate of the remaining half‑chunk of bread; I asked for another piece. I saw on the bill that they had charged €2.50 for each piece of bread! The beef roast I ordered was a shock—a slab mostly fat and skin from which I had to dig out the modest amount of meat. There was also a young, friendly waiter. When I asked him if mashed potato should have been included with the meal, as the menu indicated, he pointed to a small smear of yellowish puree on the plate. When I expressed surprise he took pity on me and brought me an extra small cup of it. Overall, an unpleasant, overpriced, pretentious experience.

Nada

This place is one of the most atmospheric spots to stay while walking the Camino; the rooms are really comfortable and the food is good, but the 48‑hour washing service isn’t very useful for a pilgrim, so a self‑serve clothes washing facility would be better.
