“Séjour Magnifique”
We were greeted warmly by the riad staff, who offered us a welcome tea with pastries while we waited for our host Delphine. She explained everything with a detailed map of Marrakech and the client‑only area: what to see, what to avoid, the pitfalls, and the best places to eat, from restaurants to fast‑food. Dining at the riad is possible if you notify in advance. The riad sits in a quiet alley, shielded from the bustle of the medina, about 8 minutes on foot from Jemaa El Fna, close to souks, restaurants, and currency exchange. Breakfast is superb and hearty, with coffee or tea, orange juice, and local specialties that change each morning. Staff are present all day and even at night, but very discreet. Our room, the Majorelle, was thoughtfully decorated in the garden’s theme and colors, with a wardrobe, silent air‑conditioning, a ceiling fan, and nothing missing. Cleaning happens daily, with fresh towels for the bathroom and pool. The pool is a real bonus for relaxing after walks; the water was 29‑30 °C, the only riad where we could swim during our stay because the others had frozen water. Delphine also handled taxis to Jardin Majorelle, Essaouira, and our airport transfer, and you can reach her on WhatsApp for any question, which is reassuring. If you’re in Marrakech, this is the riad I’d recommend. Everything was perfect – nothing to complain about.
