The Ambassador, Geneva, is situated on Lake Geneva's shore, 15 minutes from the airport and 500 metres from the train station. The double deluxe room was advertised as offering a landmark view, yet one window faced a courtyard with scaffolding and the other looked at the roof of an extension on the hotel, and the chaise lounge had two visible stains.

The location was fantastic, the team was accommodating and friendly, and the breakfast was lovely, but the bathroom was small, cluttered, had a badly placed dated shower that drenched the entire room, and it needs modernising.

The hotel is opposite Starbucks, a great spot with a view of the lake, easy access to shopping right at your feet, and the hotel itself is beautiful, comfortable, and the best in town; the staff are wonderful.
