“Nightmare stay”
The rooms and bathrooms are very stylish and clean. It is very far from the medina, so you should research that before booking; it would be fine if you have a car. We arrived hot and tired, unpacked, and then discovered there was no water! Then the most horrible hammering started and a big hole appeared in the hall wall. We decided to go out while the mess was sorted but there were no locks on our room doors, the front door was wide open, builders were walking in and out, Youssef the manager was nowhere to be seen and we had no contact number for him. No security whatsoever so we had to take anything of value with us. We messaged the owner. Her solution was either for us to move to a house in Aglou (20 km away) or she would reimburse us—not much use when it was late afternoon, we were tired, and a quick view of showed very little availability by this time the hole in the wall had been repaired so we assumed the building works were finished. The owner assured us the water supply would not be interrupted again so we decided to stay. All quiet the next morning but when we got back in the afternoon there was nonstop incredibly loud hammering and drilling right above our head. It went on until 7 pm. The owners response—she didn't know the building work was continuing (how could that be when her manager is supposedly onsite?) no apology, just a declaration that she had offered us a reimbursement which we declined (we didn't) and there was nothing more she could do. The next morning Youssef finally apologized and offered breakfast for free as compensation. We shall be seeking a refund via booking. If you have a booking here suggest you cancel unless you get confirmation that building upstairs has been completed. Also if you don't have a car this may not be the place for you. They appear to be digging up the entire main road at present and it looks like long‑term work so no petit taxis are passing and it's a long walk into town.
“Séjour moyen.”
A nice Riad, whose exterior surface and volume are not suspected. The surprise is pleasant. The accommodation is not very easy to find, there are no signs outside. The establishment gives the impression of already being inhabited when we arrive: a room with a broken bed, shoes lying around, and a partially filled refrigerator. Breakfast was not included; we wanted one. It was adequate but at a price that was far too high.
“Charme authentique et confort d’exception”
This riad is truly exceptional, drawing you in with its elegant blend of refined modernity and authentic charm; it’s perfectly positioned, offering a peaceful setting while staying right next to the city center.
“Eine kleine Oase”
The Riad Rkiya is wonderfully tastefully furnished and lets you indulge in 1001 Nights. The Riad is easily reachable by car and sits on the edge of Tiznit in a quiet quarter. I had the Riad to myself for two nights. The rooms are very tasteful and decorated with a lot of love for detail. The living spaces are very generous and would accommodate several people and groups. The kitchen is also very large and has everything necessary. A washing machine is also available, which I did not use. For key handover it is advisable to arrange a time, as a person from outside comes by. The instructions and handover are very friendly and hassle‑free. Likewise the communication with the hosts is very pleasant and uncomplicated. Since I was alone, I could not order breakfast. This can be well taken in the city in one of the cafés. The medina is within walking distance in about 20 minutes. The car can be parked directly on the street in front of the Riad. Tiznit itself is well located to plan excursions to the Anti‑Atlas (about 2 h) or to the coast (Aglou about 15 min). The place seems much cleaner than other regions in Morocco. There is nothing to complain about.
The place is super beautiful and tastefully furnished, but the coffee was a mess – they actually served black tea with Bisletti and called it coffee, which felt like a trick.
