The Barn in Sleeuwijk is a spacious country house with two bedrooms, a modern bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen. A private entrance leads to a garden terrace, free Wi‑Fi, and on‑site parking. Guests enjoy private check‑in, a lounge, family rooms, and bike hire. Located 54 km from Rotterdam‑The Hague Airport, near Theatre De Nieuwe Doelen and Efteling.

The quiet surroundings and the owners’ hospitality were nice. However, the beds had no mattress toppers, the place wasn’t clean, there were a lot of cobwebs and dust. It was a 5‑person house, but the glasses didn’t match that capacity. The cutlery was minimal. The coffee machine didn’t work, but the owner fixed it. There’s only one toilet on the ground floor, and it’s on a steep staircase that you have to descend at night just to pee.

The house is beautiful and perfect for a Dutch trip, giving quick access to Rotterdam, The Hague, the North Sea coast, and other areas. It has all the comforts you’d expect, and the host is very kind and friendly. We’ll definitely return. Just a note: the bedroom is on the upper floor, while the toilet is on the ground floor.

The house sits in a lovely, very quiet village. The garden is huge, well‑kept, and there's plenty of parking space. Inside, the downstairs hosts the living room, kitchen, and bathroom, while upstairs are two bedrooms, a small sitting area, and a shower. The staircase to the bedrooms was fine for us, though it might be hard for an older person to climb. The host, Aat Jan, is very friendly and attentive, greeting us warmly. The only downside was that the downstairs has underfloor heating, so it was a bit chilly upstairs.

The host was very friendly and took time to chat with us in English and French. The place was quiet with a very relaxing garden. It’s close to cities like Utrecht, Amsterdam, and Rotterdam, and about an hour to the Elfteling theme park. A supermarket, Albert Heijn, is less than 5 minutes by car. The house is charming and authentic, and the bedding is excellent. The only downside was that a few kitchen utensils were missing.

The house is in a beautiful village with enchanting nature. John, the owner, was great, and so was his wife. The home comes fully equipped for cooking or preparing breakfast.
