Motel 6-Orlando, FL - Winter Park

It was inexpensive, but there was a lot of nightly activity.

“Nothing to say”

I booked a handicap‑accessible room on the first floor for my son, who is an adult with a disability and uses crutches. Instead, we were given room 202, which is on the second floor, and no assistance was offered to carry our luggage. The room had a strong cigarette smell as soon as we opened the door, a wet floor, and only a 1/10 roll of toilet paper. The bathtub had a cracked retouch. When I raised these concerns at checkout, the staff told me to wait until check‑out to complain. I explained that we were traveling long and had already spoken to the staff earlier, but he raised his voice, cut me off, and said, “have a nice day,” which was incredibly rude.

I woke up to a strong weed odor, and at night I saw crack heads roaming the property. My door was broken, so I had to block it with luggage. There was no toilet paper and hair was everywhere in the tub. I checked out in the morning and canceled the next two nights, but the manager promised a refund for those two nights and still hasn't paid me. Trying to reach a customer‑service phone number feels impossible; the only option was AI, which kept saying it couldn't help. Eventually I spoke to a human, yet the issue remains unresolved. I had to book another hotel for the remaining two days, effectively paying double. How long will it take to get my money back for those two days? The hotel is listed as 5 stars, which is misleading.
