A modern, comfy hotel tucked up a track on the outskirts of Sanahin village, overlooking the monastery. A sign points to it, about 800 metres from the central square. The room was spotless, with cozy beds, fresh sheets, and a decent shower stocked with toiletries. The views were fantastic. Breakfast was simple but served in the attached restaurant. It felt a bit soulless because we were the only guests and no one else was on site. The owner lives down the road, so we had to call a number on the gate for someone to unlock it when we arrived. It was relatively expensive.

The location is perfect, just 150 meters from Kloster Sanahin, yet it feels very quiet, and the host is friendly and helpful; the dinner offered is a must‑try, featuring authentic Armenian cuisine and a delicious white wine from their own vineyard, and breakfast is also excellent.

The owners of this hotel were super friendly and welcoming, and it's really conveniently located near the monastery. The dinner they made for us was delicious, and breakfast was great too. Only downside was the room was a bit chilly, even though they'd assured me it would be warm - I guess that's just winter in the Caucasus! They had heaters but they weren't ideal for sleeping.
