I had a wonderful stay at Matilda Guest House. Coming from France, I felt welcomed immediately. Matilda and her son were incredibly kind and friendly, making my time in Goa memorable. The room was perfect for me—clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this place!

The welcome was warm and the care for our satisfaction was extraordinary. We stayed for two weeks and are glad we discovered this accommodation; the reviews on Booking aren’t lying, everything was truly perfect. The cleaning and the quality of the linens were flawless, and the towels were high‑quality. The terrace offered privacy and calm, close to the beach and shops with restaurants. We had the option to cook in our room and the stay was a great experience. We recommend it to anyone who appreciates a very attentive and friendly host. The air‑conditioning was good, the wardrobe was large, and everything felt like home. No insects, a safe place for a peaceful stay. I’m attaching photos that can help locate the Matilda Guest House, since the house isn’t on the main road. You need to turn left at the intersection near the yellow house with the grocery store, which will be on the right side of the road; then take the winding path and after about 100 m park by a big tree and walk 15 m along the sidewalk straight to the house. Or for English‑speaking travelers, calling the host is ideal, and they’ll gladly greet you on the main road. Everything was fine.

The rooms were spacious, the environment was quiet, the beach was nearby, the staff were friendly, and we rented scooters cheaply for two days and used them.
