“Hotel mě velmi mile překvapil, narozdíl od většiny konkurence není neosobní a prezentuje zájem o klienta od prvního okam”
Even though the hotel is spacious, it’s quiet everywhere, and the Czech staff are helpful and cheerful even during the festival rush. The hotel delivers absolute comfort, paying attention to details. Breakfast is excellent, with ready‑to‑drink green tea, and the rooms are spotless and well equipped.
“Krásné, čisté ubytování na dohled k centru festivalu a přitom v klidu. Co vic si může filmový fanoušek přát.”
The location is great for the film festival, but the price could be more reasonable 🤷♂️
“Gute Lage, aber Rentnerhotel, nicht gegen Geld buchen, für verschriebene Kur OK.”
The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was okay (but definitely not “excellent” as described; the highlight was the poached eggs). The value for money is poor: for €230 a night and supposedly a 4‑star rating, I expected much more, or a much lower price for what I actually received. First, the staff are the biggest flaw—they should be miles friendlier. The hotel has 2 or 3 buildings; the newer one is on the street, while the oldest, where we stayed, is tucked into a corner and set back, not visible at first. The address in the confirmation email refers to the newer building, so the GPS led us there. When we arrived, a “nice” lady almost greeted us at the door and asked what we were doing there. When I said we had a reservation, she replied in broken English, “Sure not here” (she must have recognized us by our appearance!?!). The other building’s reception was slightly better, but in the following days more issues arose. Second, the general wellness area is dated and offers little; the pool and sauna are small. The relaxation area, with six lounge chairs, is in a room with a small bar where towels are handed out. The terrace view on the top floor is great. Third, the restaurant closes at 20:30 h! It offers a small menu outside the buffet, but they apparently have never cooked it, and they were overwhelmed by the question. In the end, we had buffet dinner for about €20 a person, but we only had 30 minutes to eat and were rushed out before 20:30 h. The selection and food were mediocre.
The staff are excellent, the rooms are clean, and the location is great. There is a little wear and tear, and breakfast is okay but not outstanding.
The room is comfortable and clean, breakfast is superb, the pool is beautiful, and the staff are friendly. Nothing to complain about.
