“Great budget stay for exploring Horton Plains.”
I found the stay to be a solid budget option with a comfortable bed and warm shower, and the staff were friendly. The cafe food was decent but the menu was limited; I spent two days there as a base for exploring Horton Plains, and after paying the steep national park fee the cheap hotel helped ease the cost. Bus service to Newara ran at 10 past the hour for 150 rup. Pattipola, being a high‑altitude mountain village, offers little evening activity, but that’s not the hotel’s fault.
