The studio was a nice spot, but it was very dirty—shower too filthy to use, hair everywhere, spots on the sofa, and the duvet and pillows weren’t clean. When we checked in, two young people were there and they responded oddly to our questions about the check‑in process.

“Prima verblijf voor 1 nachtje.”

The hotel sits on the main road through Hedel, parking was easy across the street, and after staying we could quickly get back on the road. The floor with seven rooms had two spacious, lockable showers, and our room had its own washing area, a fridge, and tea or coffee could be made with sticks and sachets. The restaurant downstairs offered dishes from the menu. The lighting near the room’s washing area could be brighter for better mirror visibility, and the number of sockets in the room was limited and hard to reach.

If you offer breakfast, you shouldn’t email a day ahead saying the breakfast will be placed in the room the night before; stale bread and cold coffee aren’t breakfast. It’s better to mention a good bakery across the street. The rooms are very noisy, the mattresses are too soft, but the location and the restaurant are great. The room itself was fine. The reason I won’t return is the shower—almost no water comes out, I want a proper shower. The towels were also tiny, so you wouldn’t even cover your head.

The location is good and the reception was very friendly. The problem was the toilet and/or shower in the room, which made the hallway noisy all night. I also think the price is high for a room without a toilet.

“Solheim Stay”

The staff were friendly and hospitable, and the location is great—just across from a bus stop that takes you straight to Den Bosch railway station. The rooms were pretty basic; the bedding, though clean, looked old and tired, and the towels were a bit small for post‑shower use.
