The location is spot on for Owingen Golf Club, and the rooms feel modern, tidy, functional and quiet, with a comfy bed and great air conditioning for summer. Lugenhof Restaurant is a nice spot for drinks after golf and dinner, and the staff are friendly with excellent service. Golfclub Steißlingen and Langenstein are about a 30‑minute drive away, but Owingen Golf Club itself is worth playing more than once.

The property sits beautifully amid nature right on the golf course, and the rooms were clean, tastefully furnished, and overall we could have felt very comfortable. Unfortunately, our stay was marred by several organizational issues: we booked at short notice and found no reception staff upon arrival, no access code or instructions on how to reach our room, and we had to rely on helpful golf guests to locate a staff member who could assist us by phone. The next day, it was unclear who to contact for questions or problems. A wedding took place during our stay, and while events on such a property are generally acceptable, we were not informed beforehand that the nighttime noise could be severely disrupted. The celebration went on until about 2:30 am, making restful sleep nearly impossible. With a room rate of roughly 160 to 190 € per night, we expected more transparency. The handling of our complaint afterward was particularly disappointing: instead of empathy, the staff repeatedly cited reasons why the situation was not a problem from their perspective, mentioning that we could have called, that instructions were available, that other guests never complained, and that our booking was very short notice. None of that changed our experience as guests, and we felt neither taken seriously nor valued. We tried to resolve the issue directly and requested appropriate compensation, which was refused. An inquiry for compensation initiated through Booking was also denied. We were especially let down by the lack of a customer‑friendly approach, even though the property and surroundings have real potential.

“Traumhaft, wir kommen wieder”

From arrival to departure, our stay at the Ben Hogan Lodge was simply sensational! The location right on the golf course is perfect for golf lovers and offers a stunning view. The room was extremely comfortable, modern, and very clean, making us feel at home immediately. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, which made our stay even more pleasant. Another highlight was the kitchen—creative dishes, freshly prepared, and delicious. All in all, we can only recommend the Ben Hogan Lodge warmly and will definitely return. The only downside is that there is no breakfast.
