The room is in a nice spot in Chania, close to the old town and cafés and restaurants, and there is parking, which is a relief because parking is the main issue. Inside the room was fine, but the biggest problem was the lack of soundproofing; even the slightest noise from the apartment above can be heard from 8 am, and even walking sounds are audible at noon, worse when kids are around, and another major issue is the strong sewage smell that is unbearable and forces you outside.

The location, size, and communication with the hosts were excellent. Daily cleaning was provided, and the host was very responsive and helpful, making the stay perfect. We even met the host, who gave us a wonderful local gift. The last‑minute late checkout was also extremely welcome. It’s the best accommodation we’ve stayed at for years. Absolutely nothing was wrong—everything was perfect in every way.
