“Convenient location, good facilities, noisy currently”
I stayed here seven years ago, before the pandemic, and it was fantastic. The facilities remain the same, and the spot is ideal for getting to and from BKK, as well as for walking to Siam and MBK malls in 10‑15 minutes. Two 7‑Elevens are nearby, and there are plenty of street‑food carts. The hostel feels somewhat social, but with everyone on their phones it’s harder to strike up conversations, though it does happen (I met Amber from PA, Kate from Canada, and Maya from Germany—enjoy your trips!). The staff were very helpful and went all out for Halloween. The common area plays music from Tay‑Tay, Olivia Rodrigo, Chappell Roan, Billie Eilish, and more. The showers need more hooks—there’s only one per stall, which isn’t enough for towels and clothes. Another hook would encourage towel reuse. The bathroom mats were soaking wet, probably because people spray water far outside their stalls. Construction of the new Orange line is ongoing, so there’s noise until midnight, and the amount varies by room. My 6‑bed room, 3A, faced the most noise. For more space, the 8‑bed rooms are better.
