Before heading to Slottsrestaurangen we sat in the hotel bar and lobby with a large window overlooking the entire marina and harbor corner; it was lovely, very pleasant, and the service was good. The room in the red building was standard for the price, the bed was unused, the view looked nice, and the shower in the bathroom was glass‑lined, fully tiled, and fresh. It was a standard room, so I wondered what upgrade I had actually chosen and what the alternatives really were. It was naturally beautiful and the weather was nice when we were outside sipping cava. Why isn’t the lobby in the check‑in building sound‑proof? I expect the sound of birds and birdsong to be present in the countryside. I can’t imagine it’s as isolated between rooms. The double room becomes cramped when the bathroom is so large relative to the total area rented; it’s really uncomfortable, and Hilton probably gets away with it because the rest of the room is big. It’s more fancy and modern, a large bathroom, but cramped in the “sorry, double bed” situation like a sleeping alcove. No minibar for 2 liters of soda? Still nice, but you could have solved 1.5‑liter soda. Why is the table booking half‑full with no rush? Heh, we’ll just settle for this. The neighboring table was happy with the fish from SAS.
