The location was 11/10. Reaching there was made easy by the property person, they came to receive us. The view from the stay makes everything peaceful and pleasant. The kitchen is combined for veg food and non‑veg food, so we don't prefer that option, so we need to figure out for that only.

The staff and property manager were friendly, the property and activities were well managed, and the location is great; overall it was a great time and I see myself coming solo for work as well, though there were more hangers in the dorms and bathrooms and some repairs were necessary here and there.

“Overall a good stay with good vibes”

The Zostel Manager and volunteer were very friendly and chill, we played with them until early morning, the vibes were amazing with Saturday night live music and new friends, and the manager accommodated an extended checkout; 10/10 for hospitality, overall an amazing experience I definitely recommend, but hygiene was a concern as the water filter probably didn’t work, water was muddy after heavy rains, the pool was not clean, staff who cleaned rooms were spitting paan on the grass, and there was no pest control—frogs and chameleons were fine in the nature‑heavy setting, but a small rat and lizard entered our dorm too.

“Unique Riverside Stay with Fun Activities”

We had a good overall experience at Zostel Kolad. The location is unique, as you need to park your vehicle on the other side of the river and take the complimentary boat service to reach the property, which adds to the experience. The property offers plenty of indoor games and water sports activities. However, do note that some water activities may be restricted or a bit risky during the monsoon season, depending on the weather conditions. There are a few areas where the stay could be improved: - The cottages should have a ceiling or table fan. Relying only on the AC can make the room feel stuffy at times. - The game room needs better ventilation. It should have at least two AC units and one fan. A room freshener would also help, as the pigeon smell can be quite unpleasant. - The food can be improved by offering a smaller but better-quality menu with the most frequently ordered dishes prepared well. Overall, despite these minor issues, we had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings, activities, and hospitality. With a few improvements, the experience could be even better. The only thing that worked was the location. At night there was no electricity, the food tasted stale and expired, and the pool was covered in algae and overall unclean.
