The location was good, but the price on Booking was 365 soles and the hotel added another 30 soles, making it 395 soles. At reception I was told I’d have to pay a 10 % surcharge for the Booking reservation, so I ended up paying 440 soles. I was told that to get the 365 soles price I’d have to book directly with the reception, bypassing Booking. The price went from 365 to 440 soles. There is always noise from nearby clubs at this hotel.

The room is huge, perfect for Iquitos, with air conditioning and hot water if you want. You have to go to the other Golden hotel for breakfast, although they have the facilities to set up a buffet, and the pool is in the other hotel but it’s small. Sometimes you had to bang on the door hard to get it opened when you arrived after 12 m.
