The hostel’s location was excellent, just a few minutes walk from the west entrance of Hualien railway station; it’s not near the center but buses depart from close to the train station. The beds were comfy, the washrooms were clean, and free slippers were available for the washrooms. Lockers were in the rooms. The Wi‑Fi didn’t work in my dorm on the 3rd floor, so I had to go down the steps to the 2nd floor or the common room area to get a connection.

If you’re a motorcyclist, parking outside is very convenient, about a 5 to 7 minute drive from Dongmen Night Market. The bathroom and toilet are separate, the environment and quantity are good, so there’s no congestion. Breakfast in the morning included congee and toast, with side dishes like meat floss, jam, or freshly brewed coffee, which is perfect to start the day. The owner’s dream bike is a Honda Rebel500; if you’re a fellow rider, you might convince the owner to buy a used or new bike. I have to say, aside from ADV models, the Rebel500 is already very well suited for cruising, cheap, and fuel efficient. The owner does not have a Rebel500.
