Nestled 500 m from the Vatican Museums, Ale & Niki’s Home offers stylish, air‑conditioned rooms with flat‑screen TVs, satellite channels, and private bathrooms stocked with free toiletries. Free Wi‑Fi, a hairdryer, and a shower complete each room. Located just outside Ottaviano Metro Station, the hotel links to Roma Termini, Saint Peter’s Square (750 m), and Castel Sant’Angelo (15‑min walk).

The location is great. Near Otaviano Street, which has intense commerce and a few steps from the metro. There are several places for breakfast and lunch, one of which is especially good on the same sidewalk. Being in the Vatican was great for our visit to St. Peter’s Basilica and Square. Like almost all places, the locker is very small, but it met our needs.

I stayed in a great spot close to the Vatican, only a 10‑minute walk to St. Peter’s Square and the Vatican Museums, with the A‑line metro right outside the door. Shops and breakfast spots are right next door, and my room (the 4‑bedroom block, room 5 facing the main street) was spacious, clean, and had air‑conditioning. There’s a small common area where you can stash luggage, and the building is a three‑storey old block with a courtyard, lift on the third floor. Check‑in and check‑out can be done contactlessly via WhatsApp. The host, Nicoletta, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside was a slightly soft mattress, and because the room faces the main street it wasn’t completely quiet—though that’s expected in a city like Rome at such a central location.
