The sofa and table made it easy for three of us to hang out, while the bed was spacious but rather firm, which made sleeping a bit uncomfortable.

The place was a short walk from Hiroshima Station and the morning meals were great, offering excellent value for money; there really wasn’t anything that disappointed us.

The room was spotless and cozy, and the staff were friendly and polite. Check‑in was handled by a self‑service kiosk that offered several languages, and staff were ready to assist if needed. Vending machines line the lobby and a convenience store is close by. I took the tram to the memorial park, rode a round‑trip ferry to Miyajima, and walked back through the street market. The station is nearby, but it's just far enough that lugging luggage is tough when it's hot or raining—yet close enough that a taxi feels unnecessary (I did hire one for the return trip to the station and the driver seemed unfazed). The neighborhood feels sparse and sleepy, though I found a great okonomiyaki spot a few blocks away. Next time I’ll likely choose a livelier area and stay longer in this beautiful city (I only had 2 nights and 1 full day).
