Nestled amid trees and manicured gardens, the historic Gut Bardenhagen mansion in Bardenhagen offers contemporary rooms with large windows, flat‑screen TVs, balconies, and mosaic‑tiled bathrooms. Guests enjoy an indoor pool, Finnish sauna, buffet breakfast, seasonal dishes, a well‑stocked bar, a pond‑side terrace, and a cozy lounge fireplace. Free parking and a 15‑minute drive to Lüneburg.

The room was in an unfinished annex that still needed renovation, and it had a strong paint smell. The bathroom door was missing, and the windows couldn’t be darkened because there were no curtains. Children in the pool area next to our room were loud and unsupervised. Since we only returned at night, there was no chance to change rooms.

The room was beautiful and the location lovely; we enjoyed the wellness facilities. The bed (mattress and/or slatted frame) really needs replacement.
