The countryside vibe is great, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The loud noise from the grapevine farm was a problem; it was a cold night, and the farmers ran fans and other machinery all night to prevent frost on the vines, making it feel like sleeping under a helicopter landing pad. This wasn’t something the holiday park expected or managed, and we found the tent fabric was mouldy.

I paid for a tent with ensuite, yet I was told I’d have to pay extra just to have it emptied; the camp toilet was filthy with urine stains, the kitchen lacked a decent frying pan, the bed and blanket smelled odd and had insect droppings on top, and the yabby pond was shallow and unsafe.

Everything was in good condition, and the park’s rules were clear, which created a pleasant atmosphere; however, I’d appreciate an off‑lead area for dogs, as my active dog felt a bit restricted, so we ended up running him in other off‑lead spots in Penola.

The toilet was conveniently close to the tent and the place was very quiet, but the showers were a long walk away and the tent’s layout didn’t match my idea of a comfortable setup.

It was an amazing stay—beautiful, spotless, and super comfortable, and I’d recommend it 100%; I liked everything.
