Hotel Adler, located 4 km northeast of Augsburg’s city centre, offers express check‑in/out, free daily newspapers, and non‑smoking rooms with cable TV, private showers, and complimentary toiletries. Complimentary Wi‑Fi, a breakfast buffet, regional cuisine at the on‑site restaurant, vending machines, and a sun terrace enhance stay. Private parking, proximity to Munich (1 hour drive), and near the 17th‑century Town Hall add convenience.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet offered everything you could want. When I first sat down on the bed, the slatted frame collapsed. An alternative room couldn’t be offered (the hotel was fully booked because of the Munich Oktoberfest). After using a cordless drill and a handful of screws, I managed to fix the frame again. During the repair I discovered that the mattress’s underside had significant dirt (some of my acquaintances would have fled at the sight). While lying down I also noticed it was sagging. I received no apology or even a discount. I stayed only because I knew that, due to the Oktoberfest, only very expensive accommodations were available.

The hotel is quite close to the motorway and is very good for traveling accommodation. Good value for money. The price included a very good breakfast. Even though we arrived quite late in the evening, we could order food for dinner. The only drawback is that the beds were not very comfortable.
