B&B Château De La Houssoye

The lady who greeted us on arrival was very pleasant and suggested a nice little restaurant for dinner. Unfortunately, the room was located at the top of two flights of stairs, and even though we are older but quite fit for our age, it was a challenge to carry a suitcase up the stairs, although the receptionist did assist us. Further regrettably, the room was extremely small with only room for one double bed, but for some reason it had three beds. We also did not think the breakfast was very good either.

The exterior is beautiful, the front and back gardens shine, and the people are friendly. The breakfast did not include the fresh French baguette we had hoped for; we had to settle for some baked rolls. Okay, but France could do better. Our children slept in a room that smelled very musty.

“Très bon accueille”

A very beautiful château and the hosts are super friendly. The breakfast was excellent, with nothing missing, salty or sweet. I appreciated everything.

“Passage éclair”

The park is very beautiful, even though we only spent a short time there because we went for a few hours of rest after a birthday. We went to bed at 4 am, and that was not the host’s fault; however, we told him at 11:10 that we needed to leave because he had other things to organize, and it seemed inflexible. “Plus que déçus”

The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The exterior of the château is just magnificent. Dust and spider webs were everywhere in the studio, stains on the bed top, bathroom grout was very dirty and peeling, humidity stains on the furniture, a general décor that needs rethinking (nothing coherent), not to mention the breakfast with stale pastries and bread. A water cut occurred one morning for 1 h without prior notice. Disappointing (and the word is weak) for €140 a night.
