The property was lovely with a great garden, but those stairs were highly dangerous—no handrails at all. The stairs were lethal.

The garden and location were good, and the house looked nice. The garden of the suite did not match the photo; it was messy and the hot tub was filled with leaves and fir. It hadn't been cleaned before being filled, then left full and stagnant with flies for two days despite us asking it to be emptied. The owner walked in twice into our private space—both times while we were showering. The room was designed so every angle could see the shower. The second time was me, a female, and he, a larger older man, walked in. The first time he even stayed in the garden after we screamed and asked him to leave; I had to come out, half dressed, to tell him to go away, and he then hid in the corner of our private garden. We had to message and warn him not to come in, yet he did it again the next day. This ruined our stay, made us feel extremely uncomfortable, unsafe, on edge, and frankly embarrassed as he saw my husband naked due to the stupid and too open design of the suite—just horrible.

This property is a gem—super stylish rooms, stunning gardens, and a pool, and Michael and his team looked after us so well. It totally exceeded our expectations and was far more joyful than a typical hotel stay. The only downside is that you have to drive or take an Uber to get anywhere; central Cape Town is about 30 minutes away.
