Nice hotel and friendly staff. You can eat well in the morning and evening, but the restaurant also lacks air conditioning. The room was quite nice and spacious, and the surroundings were calm. I had stayed here before in February, so I happily booked two nights again for our summer holiday because my first visit was excellent. To my great disappointment I expected air conditioning in the hotel and in the rooms, yet there was none. With evening temperatures at +30 degrees, this was a BIG mistake on my part. Even worse, we had a ground‑floor room and could not open the windows for security reasons :-(

“breakfast is the most important meal of the day and FRESH tea or coffee is the key to this.”

Breakfast fruits, bacon and real eggs (not powdered) were welcome. The machine coffee is universally horrible. All hotels use similar machines and all produce disgusting coffee. There's no comparison with freshly made coffee or tea. Café Grandmere in the morning with warmed milk is something never forgotten. A simple solution might be to provide 10 small “Cafetiere Italien” for guests to use with a staff member to fill and provide a tiny jug of warmed milk with each…makes all the difference.
