The location is simply dreamy, and the houseboat itself is very nice. The only real issue—one that would have stopped me from booking if I’d known it beforehand—is the sheer number of spiders outside the windows, in all sizes, with their webs and nests. We’re not particularly spider‑phobic, but the sight was truly unsettling. The windows have fly screens, but the doors only have scraps of screen left, and the ventilation slits still let the creatures in. Because there’s no air conditioning, we had to keep the doors open for airflow, which only worsened the problem. A proper fly‑screen door would have kept larger spiders out. Blood stains on the curtains and walls show that spiders are regularly getting inside. I understand the natural vibe is intentional, but that information should be in the description. We booked the place on a whim for two nights; if it had been a longer stay, I’d have looked elsewhere.
