Rex Hotel – Bebeka’s, a family‑run retreat on the western Peloponnese, sits 1 km from Zacharo’s coastline. Surrounded by thriving plants, antiques and rattan furnishings, it evokes countryside charm. Spacious, air‑conditioned rooms feature balconies, mosaic‑tiled bathrooms and flat‑screen TVs. Guests enjoy free Wi‑Fi, on‑site parking, a children’s playroom and library, plus a homemade breakfast served in a bright dining hall or evergreen courtyard.

This place is truly extraordinary, showing great dedication and empathy toward guests; I originally planned only two nights, but the hotel and its staff convinced me to stay six instead.

The staff were incredibly friendly, welcomed us warmly and treated us to a lovely breakfast, though the building feels a bit dated, which still fits the overall vibe.

The 1930s hotel looks straight out of an Agatha Christie novel: everything is beautifully and tastefully furnished with ceiling fans, large plants, and charming décor. Breakfast was great, and the sandy beach is about 2 km away; we would have liked to stay longer.
