I was treated poorly by the housekeeper who woke me at 8 am and told me I had to leave right away, insisting the room needed cleaning and even started calling me “Ola.” I would have checked with Doubletree, but I still have to file a claim.

The hotel hasn’t returned my $100 deposit; it still shows on my credit card and I want it back. They told me they’d spoken to my credit card company and checked my statement, but no refund has appeared yet.

I liked the location and the pretty lobby, but the room was next to the ice machine and community microwave, and I overheard staff complaining about a leak that had been ongoing for over a year with no action from management or the owner. The mildew smell in my room, mold in the shower, clogged shower head, and dirty floor were all unacceptable. One pillow was stained with an unfamiliar substance and I had to remove it myself. On a positive note, two black women were kind to me.

I sent many messages to get my bill, but received no response. At checkout I was told to get my bill from the booking site, yet it turns out the opposite is true. The customer service was the worst I’ve ever experienced.
