We stayed in a large, clean room right next to the village centre, which was perfect because a fair was happening and we could just step out and walk to it. When we came back, the windows kept the fair’s noise out, so the room stayed quiet. Breakfast at the nearby café offered pastries and coffee; they even gave us a hot chocolate for our son despite the staff not speaking any English. During the day, however, there was no one to chat with, we never saw the manager, and the downstairs restaurant (which only opened in the afternoon) also had no English‑speaking staff. It would have been handy to have a coffee maker in the room.
