The downtime here is unique. In a dreamy setting with a 365‑degree panoramic view over the gentle hills of the Marken, you instantly forget that life exists outside this spot when you arrive. Everything is even more beautiful than you can imagine from pictures. The incredible quiet, the wide views from every side of the house, the lounge chairs under the large mulberry tree that offers great shade, the infinity saltwater pool, the recommendations for outings and restaurant visits, the magic of the downstairs table where a super tasty breakfast awaits each morning, freshly prepared by Melanie, the house itself radiating so much light and inviting warmth, and not least the host Melanie and her family. I could rave endlessly, but you really have to be there to know. A few simple things I want to praise, even if they’re small: - alcohol‑free drinks are available in a communal fridge - the wine fridge works on the same principle - there are massages, which we didn’t use but were highly praised by other guests - often there’s leftover homemade cake from Melanie’s breakfast waiting all day in the kitchen for anyone with a little hunger (: We’ll definitely come back. Absolutely nothing else!
