“Sanctuary”

This hostel ranks among the best I’ve ever stayed in. Even during the low tourist season, the place felt lively and I felt right at home throughout. The people, the sweet animals, the location, and the food were all perfect. No mosquitoes, naturally cool temperatures at night, and Renee is an incredible cook. If you love animals and nature, this spot is ideal. Nothing negative.

The hostel has a chill vibe. Everyone eats dinner together for only 200PHP, which is more than enough and automatically connects you with other guests. It feels like home.

I stayed for 3 nights and it was nice to be in nature after 3 weeks of island and sea holiday in PH. The owner is kind and helpful. The family dinner was perfect with a variety of foods every night. Breakfast was good enough. They sent me an explanation on how to get there from the port, which cost only 2$. They organize multiple tours with local people. I would definitely stay here again!
