“Perfect location for the Vatican & St Peter's”
Gino, the owner, is very kind and helpful, explaining everything from water to window shutters to opening doors and how to get around Rome by bus; he’s also quick on WhatsApp—when I had trouble opening the front door on day one, he sent a video and arranged for someone in the building to help. The location is ideal for visiting the Vatican and St. Peter’s, though a bus is best if you want to reach other major attractions in the center. There are nice, affordable restaurants and a Carrefour across the street, and the downstairs café serves breakfast with fresh croissants and freshly squeezed orange juice. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe in the area, and the balcony view was very relaxing; I’d definitely stay again. On the downside, the bathroom needs updating—the shower is very small, which wasn’t a problem for me at 155 cm but would feel cramped for taller people. Cleanliness could be better; I found a long strand of hair in my sheets. The water takes a minute to heat up, but Gino explains this.
