“Volvería sin dudarlo”
Everything was great: the staff’s kindness, the tranquility, and the breakfast. Nothing to complain about.

The spot was great, with plenty of restaurants nearby. The pool looked nice and was well kept, and the breakfast was good. The kitchenette was a bit lacking – no cutlery, no sponge, etc.

The hotel sits in a very good spot, close to many restaurants, shops and sights in Ubud, which makes walking around easy. One thing to remember is that the hotel is on a very narrow street that cars can’t reach; you have to walk about five minutes from the drop‑off point to the hotel, which feels longer when you’re lugging heavy luggage and can be quite inconvenient at check‑in and check‑out. Our arrival started badly: we had arranged a pick‑up from the port for IDR 300,000, the hotel confirmed it and said a driver would be waiting with a sign bearing our names. When we got there, nobody was there. We called the hotel several times, but no one answered. After an hour we finally heard back, by which time we had already hired a Grab and walked about 20 minutes with our luggage to get to it. The hotel later said their car had broken down and that they would send another driver. I understand that problems happen, but nobody told us beforehand, no one answered our calls, and when we finally arrived we didn’t even get an apology or acknowledgement of the mishap. That left a very poor first impression. The room had a few issues too: the shower curtain only covered half the shower, so water splashed onto the floor; the bedroom curtains didn’t block out light, so the room was bright from about 6 a.m.; and the soundproofing was very poor – we could hear people talking and walking in the corridors all the time, even at night, which made it hard to sleep. Overall, the biggest disappointment was not just the problems themselves, but the lack of communication and attention from the hotel when they occurred. For a hotel stay, especially after arranging and confirming services in advance, we expected a much higher level of organization and customer service.
