The town is beautiful and atmospheric, truly charming. The hotel itself is a plus. Breakfast was very good, on American standards, with freshly made omelets and fresh fruit. The reception staff were not very friendly, we felt like just another tourist to tick off. There was a lack of smiles and any engagement. When we asked about local restaurants, we only received a paper list of places, no recommendations or comments.

Breakfast, staff and location were wonderful. The room cleanliness left a lot to be desired. We were also in a unit where the cleaning staff hung out by our car smoking, which wasn’t pleasant to walk through. Smoking away from people’s rooms for staff. The hotel sits just a short walk from downtown shops and eateries, and the breakfast spread—especially the waffles and omelets cooked on a waffle iron they call "womlettes"—was pretty good. The staff were friendly, the shower water pressure was solid, and the room was a decent size with a handy in‑room refrigerator. We didn’t hit the pool, but it was a hit with families over the hot weekend. The only downsides were a bit of car noise from the parking lot early in the AM and thin walls that let in neighbor chatter at night; the TV selection was also limited.
